Can Claudia come out to play?

Sorry, Scott. Claudia is off the market. Look:

Now, let’s see your wife’s ring, Scott Thomas Beauchamp!

  1. I think that Scot has given up writing, so he might not reply. ;-)

  2. This (ring photo, etc) seems a bit overly cute on a reasonably serious topic…were you ‘Scott’s girlfriend or merely another figment of his literary imagination?

  3. No, I was NOT Scott’s girlfriend.

    @ Seaberry

Actually, Scott has been writing a lot lately. I just wasn’t aware of it until a few days ago.

  4. Where the heck is Wurzberg? Is it near Munchkin or is it closer to the Bodeansy?

  6. This Scott Thomas thing is messing with my mind. Please put it to rest once and for all by posting a copy of a) your Wedding License and b) Little Rib’s Passport and/or driver’s license photo.

  7. I tried mailing this to you, but the mails keep coming back with permanent fatal errors:

so August 16th is the 20th anniversary of the Harmonic Convergence, which was supposed to be the big New Age event of the 80’s.
I had a New Age girlfriend back then, she drove a 1962 pink Nash Rambler with a push-button dashboard transmission (a unique American innovation of the early 60’s that never caught on). Her back seat was usually stacked with sheepskins, bottles of patchouli oil, boxes of stained glass sculptures or peyote buttons.

In any case, We celebrated the events by making HC necklaces out of Fruit Loops and dental floss (note the harmonic balance of tooth decay/tooth care).

A friend made commemorative a bands t-shirts for the “Harmonica Virgins”, depicting three geeks and a baby all playing their harmonicas.

And verily, I was granted a vision that day: serving volleyball into the sun and snarfing the left over Fruit Loops out of the box in between plays, the sun on my retina caused me to visualize green Fruit Loops. This was at a time when they only came in red, yellow and orange.

On a later trip home to the ‘States, I noticed that they had added lime green ‘Loops as well.

Visualize, materialize, as my New Age girlfriend used to say.

So where were you and what were you up to on that fateful day when the World merged in Peace and Harmony?

  9. Good that you’ve still got this code, we don’t want just any ol’ rifraff posting here!

Hope you had a nice September and don’t forget to celebrate Deutscher Einheitstag (Day of the German Unit) Oktoberfest 3!!!

  10. So now I know what you’ve been doing all summer, just read your posting on Gegenstimme. Any plans to publish an English version? If so, lemme know, I’d be happy to translate a piece or two that you could hawk to a publisher. We’ll have you appearing on Oprah in no time…
