My older sister had to get her citizenship. If you feel homesick you can always visit the Texas hill country, In New Braunfels you can even see bumper stickers in German (Das Leben ist besser in Neu Braunfels) And the Cathedral in San Antonio still has German Mass once a week. But then I was always on my way home from Australia, didn't find out how hostile Germany had gotten towards America. On my first visit home after G.W. was elected President I found a lot of admiration towards Clinton, hostility towards Bush. That's when I realized I had become an American a long time ago, the rest was only documentation. And I still beat you to citizenship by 7 months. Welcome to my America.
