He did not have a pot to piss in (an old western expression) until his wife became a shill for the airline industry. This was not of course his original wife, but a new "barbie" wife that was able (with his help) to clean up with favorable legislation (guess who helped) and buy Tom a 1.3 million dollar mansion in Washington DC.
