Back in the Saddle

First of all: A happy and blessed New Year to all our beloved readers of “Misunder”! OK, I’m a little late, but I came back from vacation just yesterday. There was no chance to greet you earlier :-)

I am glad to be back now. I’ve missed my computer and our audience. For a freak like me it is very hard to have vacation without any internet connection. (Sure, I have had some opportunities to go online — but…for the most time, I was on vacation with my wife. You know what kind of human beings these females are, don’t you? They are always slamming on the brakes if you wanna do the real important male things… ;-) )

Nevertheless, we had a great time. I’ve had a very good time with my “Doe”. And we both enjoyed spending nearly two weeks to ourselves. — In case you don’t know: My wife is living and working in North Rhine-Westphalia while I am living and working in Baden-Wuerttemberg, which means that we only get together bi-weekly. Hard to handle, but real love let’s us be as thick as thieves.

Okay, okay, okay…told you enough… I think it’s time now to show you some pictures I took during my vacation.

The following pics were taken during a “survival tour”. A friend of mine and I tried to live three days in the German Wilderness of the “Thüringer Wald” (the Thuering Forest) without any amenities of civilisation. But already in the first night we had to capitulate… It was just too cold. Our equipment failed and our clothes actually were frozen within a few hours… (Boy, what a stinging cold!)

But the Winter Wonderland was just amazing:

A little less snow, nearly the same cold, but wonderful as well as the Thüringer Wald: Füssen (a Bavarian city nestled between the Austrian borders). I had visited this enchanting city with my wife a week before travelling to Thüringen with my friend:

Very impressive: The “Lechfall” (the Cascades of the river Lech) south of the city of Füssen:

Returning from the Thüringer Wald to the Ruhr Area we passed the city of Eisenach. The very place of interest near Eisenach is the “Wartburg“. During his compelling stay in this castle Martin Luther — the great German Evangelic Reformer — started to translate the Bible into the German language. So the Wartburg is one of the most important places in Germany — even if it is covered with heavy fog:

OK, Michael told you that I will start with a brand new, excellent and absolutely funny appearance this year. Yes, he is right! — No, he isn’t right! Oops, what is it now?

Wait. Just wait. Just await. The secret will be disclosed soon…
