Christmas Greetings from Germanyland

Jürgen asked me to wish you all a Merry Christmas and, as they say in Germanyland, a good slide into the next year! Unfortunately he won’t be able to post anything for the next two weeks since he will be on his well deserved vacation. But he will be back January 8th. And he will be back with a great surprise! I’m not at liberty to say but it will be VERY funny!

I won’t be going away over the holidays but I will be busy eating a big fat turkey. Americans know how long it takes to recover from that, so don’t be surprised if I don’t post anything for a few days.

Also, please check out our German blog, the new and improved Gegenstimme. It’s new because we moved to a new server and it’s improved because we’ve forced two great new authors at gunpoint to write for us. They agreed …

Best wishes to all of you and never forget who is the reason for the season!

  2. To the Liberal American readers at this blog:

It’s not only easy but cowardly to espouse the merits of socialism and pacifism, while living in a capitalist country–under the blanket of security–provided by the United States military.

May the United States Military, afford you the ability, to run your treasonous mouths, another year!

  3. Merry Christmas and a heppy New Year to you all from Texas! I found your delightful little blog a week ago and put it in my regular rotation.

Can I get off-subject and ask an impertinant question? I’ve been looking to learn German for the longest time, but I can’t afford the time to go to my local Goethe Institute (there is one in Houston) because I’m in my 30’s and
can’t afford to take off from the job, so I’m looking for another avenue to learn. I don’t know why you all would know how to help someone learn German, but I’m a little bit desperate and have been reduced to blindly asking friendly German-speakers. Plus, I figure us right-wing Republican germanophiles need to stick together, so it’s a good excuse to say hello.

If you have any information, I’d love to have it. And if not, Merry Christmas anyway. I hope Pelznickel didn’t visit you this year.
