Yeah, buy it.

Well, first, I'd like to say this is a fun blog, no kidding.

And I appreciate you Right Wings / Bush Sympathizers / War-Wicked Beer-Bellies spunky utter your opinion nevermind the majority of your country. Yes, courage is delicious. Have courage to have an own opinion, if so.

It always nice to see how Right Wings love to fight fire with fire, kill X times the people in order to stop killings, agree to compromise their own freedom in order to save freedom, etc. Real nice.

But, your right attitude left aside, you Right Wings have ridiculous arguments.
Well, it's free to you to adhere to Mr Bush's lies, drink beer all day and talk about naughty weapons and good 'ol times, when men were real men...bleh.. Have fun.

Herr Meyn,
Thanks for the kind words. I just did my duty. Every couple of years we have a local air show at our airport here in Western Colorado. This was the year and featured the Blue Angels. The show was great but the best part was watching them practice several days before the actual show. #6 you have hit the nail on the head. Good people can disagree about things but it can be very frustrating to debate with a person who does not have an open mind. I have had many great conversations with my German friends over the past several years but they just can't seem to get past the "Hate Bush" line. It's to bad but at least we always end our discussions still good friends. At least I give them something to think about.

Let me just say that you three are great! I've lived in Munich since February of '04 and while I love this city/country I'm occasionally put off by the political climate here; pragmatism, the ability to see issues and policies in context, and memories that go back prior to 2001 seem missing amongst much of the population - save for you three and your blog friends of course!

Keep up the good work.

Hi folks. Im British, live in nothen Germany, love Weißbier and Weißwurst. I'm rather fond of the Germans, especially my wife. I love American music and the American way of life. I hate Bush, and think he's the worst thing that happend to America since 9:11.I could never trust a man who upholds a death penelty against someone pleaing for his or her life. I don't like Cheney either, because I think he's a lier. The same goes for Rummsfeld, Rich, in fact the whole anministration. I think the Iraq war is a disaster to all concerned.

So that's me. Looking forward to be sending you some line now and then if I may. Have a happy festive season.

And a big THANKS to you, L. Burg! Thank you for your service in the military and thank you for making the world a safer place. People like you are true heroes! I went to an air show at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada on Veterans Day. It was quite an experience! In fact, the picture of me on the right side was taken there. Of course, I was wearing my Club G'itmo hat :-) That day had a big impact on me and it made me appreciate the American military even more. You guys are the best!

Enjoying your writings and thoughts and will be back. Thanks for your efforts and allowing me to comment.

I have had two experiences with your country, one was not so enjoyable in the sixtys on top of a mountain near the Swiss border and the second a months vacation traveling around and having a great time in 96.

Enjoy your blog but don't let it interfer with your lives.

Hello Misunderestimated Germans,
I just discovered your blog and find it very refreshing and interesting. After a very very long absence, I lived 2 1/2 years of my army service in Germany in the early sixties, I had the opportunity to revisit the land of my grandfather 4 years ago to visit my son who was studying at the U. of Regensburg. Over the past four years I have travelled Germany some seven times. Four times while my son was studying for the year and three times since. I truely do love your country, your beer and most importantly my great German friends that I have come to know. One thing that I have come to realize is that there is a definite gap between truth and reality in the German press. That is why blogs like yours are important. Continue your good work and I look forward to contributing.
