In case you didn’t know
Secretary of Defense Howard Dean, oops, I mean Democratic National Chairman Howard Dean made a stunning announcement:
Bummer! And I thought things were going well over there. I must have been a victim of the vast rightwing conspiracy. I really ought to be more careful when it comes to interpreting the news.
Dean’s discouraging radio interview is an eye-opener for the American people, the soldiers, oh, and for those who were planning on voting at the ballot box on December 15th: the Iraqi people. Why bother? If The US is losing then Bush’s dream of establishing a democracy in Iraq will never come true.
So let’s get the troops out of Iraq, or as Dean puts it: “We’ve got to get the target off the backs of American troops.”
I totally agree! We should get them out of harm’s way and then deploy them in more peaceful countries. Switzerland, for example, or Iceland. This way we can demonstrate a strong military presence in the world without having to worry about our troops getting blown up by roadside bombs.
As far as the elections in Iraq go, I don’t think people will show up now. I mean, isn’t that the whole purpose of Dean’s dumb remarks? To undermine the progress in Iraq?

Please pray for Howard Dean and his allies. They are so blinded by their dogma and hatred. According to the Holy Spirit’s message on The Christian Prophet blog, the U.S. has already achieved great spiritual victories in Iraq. We need a Democratic Party that is spiritually attuned and seeing clearly. Please pray.

ACP is right, the USA has achieved great spiritual victories in Iraq - for Allah and the Shi’ite branch of the Musilim faith. They are well on their way to becoming an even more reactionary theocracy than Iran. The USA cannot win for losing. The troops who died there will find themselves in heaven along with all the other martyrs of Islam!
